The global bunkering industry sits at the heart of maritime commerce. Without reliable fuel supply vessels operating efficiently across ports, anchorages, and offshore platforms, the entire shipping ecosystem comes to a halt. At APS Shipbrokers, we understand that acquiring the right bunker ship is not merely a transaction — it is a strategic investment that shapes your operational capacity for years ahead.
Whether you are entering the bunkering business for the first time or expanding an existing fleet, our team of seasoned brokers brings unmatched market intelligence, a wide-reaching global network, and hands-on transactional expertise to every deal we handle.
A bunker ship — also referred to as a bunker tanker or bunkering vessel — is a specialized fuel supply tanker designed to deliver marine fuel directly to other vessels at sea, at anchor, or alongside berths. These vessels carry heavy fuel oil (HFO), very low sulphur fuel oil (VLSFO), marine gas oil (MGO), and increasingly, LNG and methanol as the industry transitions toward cleaner fuels.
Bunker ships range from compact harbor tankers of just a few hundred tonnes deadweight, suited for congested port environments, to large offshore bunkering vessels capable of supplying fuel to supertankers and container ships mid-voyage. Choosing the right size and specification depends entirely on your intended trading area, client base, and regulatory environment.
APS Shipbrokers maintains an active and regularly updated portfolio of bunker vessels available for immediate sale. Our listings span:
Small Harbor Bunker Tankers (500 – 3,000 DWT) — ideal for port and river operations
Medium Coastal Bunker Vessels (3,000 – 8,000 DWT) — suited for near-shore supply routes
Large Offshore Bunkering Tankers (8,000 DWT and above) — built for deep-sea fuel delivery
Each listing is accompanied by full vessel specifications, class status, flag details, survey history, tank configuration, and cargo pump capacity — giving buyers the technical clarity needed to make informed decisions without unnecessary delays.
